Lensbaby Project {January}

welcome to one of our new creative blog circles! I am so excited about this one! I’ve had a lensbaby for years and it has been on the shelf for the last few. I saw this blog circle come up and decided I wanted to join up and get it back out to play with! I’m going to use it for different things through the year, this month I decided to use it in lieu of a standard lens and see if we could get some interesting shots out of it. It does give a unique take on mundane times so I’m excited to get back out with it when the weather is a little more conducive next month!This month I decided to use it on a regular time hanging out with my niece and family

Letters To Our Daughters {January}

I am so excited to be able to be a part of this blog circle this year! {On a side note you will probably notice that I am in 3 blog circles this year, Letters To Our Daughters, a themed creative one and a lensbaby creative one along with at least 2 monthly challenges not done in a blog circle style} This one really grabbed me because I have not been good about keeping up my blog I set up to do this for my girls so doing a blog circle sounded great! Plus reading through the ones from the original amazingly talented ladies who did it last year really inspired me to want to join also! We have a great circle so please do click on through!

To My Little Princesses,

I can’t believe another year has come and gone. It seems like the blink of an eye since A was a newborn at this time and here you are a new 3 year old! Every day you become more independent and amaze me with what you learn! You have always been advanced for your age and you have always loved to learn. When you were a baby even, Grandma and I would notice how you would sit and really think about things you were trying to learn for the first time. You could almost see the wheels turning in your brain. You are still like this and I hope you never change! You love your school workbooks right now and I really hope you continue to love learning in all forms for the rest of your life!

Little Baby D! You are already 9 months old which is just amazing to me. You just light up our family in so many ways! You totally want to be just like your sister and want to follow her and do everything she does! You love trying new foods and there are very few you dont like. I am really looking forward to the next year with all the growing and changing you will be doing! Although part of me really wants you to stay my little baby forever I know you have big things ahead of you!

I am so grateful the Lord saw fit to give me 2 such fun and sweet and sparkly little girls and I am very excited for a new year!

Looking ahead to 2013

I am pretty excited for everything to come in 2013 – both on a personal photographic level and a business photographic level! We have joined a few blog circles and will be sharing those monthly, this is a new idea for us since it is hard to blog regularly with young children but this year I decided I really wanted to take this blog in a new direction and that includes sharing ideas on photographing your family at home and some ways to do that better along with ways to really capitalize on making and saving memories! I am planning to have blogs posted the beginning of each week. I will also be sharing my 2013 Project Life desgins/layouts on here! If you have never heard of Project Life jump over here {beckyhiggins.com} and check them out. I am really excited for all the things I have planned and the new additional directions we are taking! I also will be announcing the spring mini-session dates/locations by the end of January {I have some really exciting ones planned this year!} so you will want to check back then!
